Strong Suspicion
Moshpit,
My comment was about what Judith’s “strongly suspects”. Everything I’ve said so far relates immediately to the nature of these suspicions.

What Happened to the Tags?
It seems that the hyphenized tags do not work anymore.
I need to recreate all the tagging system.
Sigh.
Let’s thank Providence I had not relabelled all the posts from my first year.
Discursive Patterns
I’m commenting on the thought patterns like Willard**… might… except he knows formal philosophy and… I… um…don’t
Actually, TCO, I prefer to observe “speech behaviors”, so to speak. What matters to me, first in foremost, in these debates, is how things are done with words. So the patterns I try to describe are mostly related to discourse, not thought patterns.
What is meant might be relevant, of course. But it’s tough to do more than hypothesize, unless, of course, you can check out your interpretation by actually asking that person. And even then, how can you be sure that a person knows what that person means?
Also, I try not to express too harsh a judgement about character, integrity, competence, etc. My interests should speak by themselves. I never understood why I should interest myself in nonsensical or plainly outrageous people.
Steve is Steve. He sure can make mistakes. His interests can seem biased too. And he has a strange way to pick friends. So be it.
There is no need for me to evaluate his integrity nor his competence. At least some of what he does will be for the good, in the end. For instance, everybody knows that peer-reviewed litterature sucks and that the Internet will revolutionize it.
He still an interesting person to me. At the very least, I find his way to promote his arguments truly fascinating. I am sure there is a dig there, be him right or wrong or in between, as anyone of us.
So I dig.
